Royal Rumble 2018 – Reactions and Review

Royal Rumble 2018 - Reactions and ReviewThe WWE Royal Rumble is always one of the most entertaining PPVs of the year. It brings with it a unique anticipation that not even Wrestlemania can match.

You can never really tell who is going to appear in the Royal Rumble match. It is often a good opportunity for WWE to give someone a shock debut, much like AJ Styles in 2016. The winner of the match sometimes is very obvious and sometimes no one has a clue who they’re going to go with. This year was no exception.

For 2018 there were two Royal Rumble matches. The men’s and, for the first time ever, a women’s Royal Rumble.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi Review

Star Wars: The Last Jedi - ReviewThe Last Jedi split fandom down the middle. Some people really liked it and for others it ruined their childhood. I actually quite liked it. I appreciate some people were not happy with the way the writers and director developed the overall canon of the Star Wars universe. But I thought what they did right was to focus on the future whilst not dwelling on the past.

My review for my YouTube channel was supposed to only be 10 minutes. However, there was so much to talk about that it went way beyond that. So rather than have you sit through over half an hour of my jabbering on about the film. I split my video review into 3 parts, or rather 3 episodes. I gave them novel titles too, for no real reason, just because that’s what George would’ve done.

Mae Young Classic 2017 – Review

Mae Young Classic LogoI was really excited when the WWE announced the Mae Young Classic as I am a big fan of women’s wrestling. The WWE are developing a nice habit of producing great quality programmes on the Network that are radically different from what they broadcast on their mainstream shows. I dipped into the Cruiserweight Classic and I was impressed by the talent they had amassed for that programme. I was hoping they would be able to capture the same magic for this tournament.Continue Reading

13th Doctor and Change

13th Doctor and ChangeDoctor Who has always been about change. From the minute William Hartnell regenerated into Patrick Troughton the TV show set itself apart from anything that had come before. Change is as much a part of the very fabric of the show as the TARDIS, Daleks and Time Lords are. It is with this in mind that I approached the latest regeneration with high hopes and sheer excitement.Continue Reading

Doctor Who – Twice Upon a Time – Review

Doctor Who Christmas Special 2017 - Twice Upon a TimeMy Twice Upon a Time review was going to be just another blog post. However, as I have just jumped into the world of YouTube with both feet and launched my own YouTube channel. Instead I decided to post the entire review on there instead.

But I can say this though. I really enjoyed Twice Upon a Time, it was a great Christmas episode. In fact I’d go as far as saying it was up there as one of the best festive outings of New Who.Continue Reading

Sao Til’s YouTube Channel

Sao Til’s Journeys in FandomI have a YouTube channel!

It’s my first step into the world of YouTube and vlogging. I have always wanted to do this for such a long time, but never seemed to get round to getting it done.

You see I am a bit of a perfectionist. I always got stuck wanting to make something that was perfect. After watching some of the amazing bloggers and YouTubers out there, I wanted to be at their level from the get go. But that really was never going to happen.

This meant that I never actually got anything recorded but sat there planning things out and tinkering with the tech. This time around I grabbed a camera, not a great one, sat down and just spoke.

So here it is, the first of many and the first video for the all new Sao Til’s Journey’s in Fandom. It’s not great. My inner perfectionist already knows what to do to make the next one better, mainly talk less! But Rome wasn’t built in a day, the journey of a thousand miles begins with one step and other related motivational business.

Please come and watch, subscribe and share as there’s definitely more to come. Allons-y!

Fight Factory Wrestling – Boiling Point Review

Fight Factory Wrestling - Boiling PointFight Factory Wrestling brought it’s show back to the Engine Shed in Lincoln on Sunday October 1st for Boiling Point. The event was a two show presentation, with a family show in the afternoon and an adults only show in the evening. This was my first chance to see the 18+ version of FFW so I jumped at the chance to attend.
