My Twice Upon a Time review was going to be just another blog post. However, as I have just jumped into the world of YouTube with both feet and launched my own YouTube channel. Instead I decided to post the entire review on there instead.
But I can say this though. I really enjoyed Twice Upon a Time, it was a great Christmas episode. In fact I’d go as far as saying it was up there as one of the best festive outings of New Who. The storyline was neat and uncomplicated. The Twelfth Doctor was on fine form with a script worthy of his last outing. David Bradley knocked it out of the park with his depiction of the First Doctor. Not to mention Mark Gatiss making a welcome return to the show in a very understated, poignant role.
They captured the magic of a multi-Doctor episode, despite this being under the banner of a festive encounter. The two Doctors had some classic interactions which is what you expect from these special episodes.Above all it was a fitting farewell for the Twelfth Doctor.
It was also a fitting farewell for Peter Capaldi and Steven Moffat.
There is a lot more, and I mean a lot, that I have to say in the video. My own feedback for future videos I need to not talk as much! I guess I got a little carried away with this review. But as said in my reasoning for starting the channel, I just wanted to get my first video done and in the can (ooo get me and my industry lingo) and go from there. Plus this was a farewell regeneration, multi-Doctor episode which actually a rare occurrence in the whole of Whodom let along just New Who.
So grab a cup of tea, take a seat, give this review a watch and remember what the Doctor said….be kind.
